A rainha Elizabeth II fica cheeeia de compromissos reais quando o fim de ano começa a chegar. De acordo com Angela Kelly, stylist pessoal da monarca, no Natal “a rainha está tão ocupada quanto estaria em Londres, só que com mais convidados para entreter”. Ou seja, ela frequenta vários eventos diferentes e, por isso, acaba precisando de muitos (sim, muitos mesmo!) looks para o período.

Segundo Kelly em seu recente livro The Other Side Of The Coin: The Queen, The Dresser and the Wardrobe, o número de produções pode variar, inclusive, no mesmo dia: “Podem ocorrer muitas mudanças de roupa em um dia só – cinco, sei ou até mais que sete“. Todo ano, a família real britânica passa o Natal na casa de campo em Sandringham, e Elizabeth sempre precisa decidir o que irá usar à noite. “Eu mostro opções de vestidos para a rainha olhar e escolher o que ela gostaria de apostar. Ocasionalmente, ela pode ter que escolher um vestido para uma festa também”, conta Kelly.

“Uma vez que a Sua Majestade escolheu seu vestido para o jantar, um aviso manuscrito é colocado no corredor das cômodas detalhando o que ela usará, para que as criadas da rainha possam selecionar um vestido apropriado para as damas que estão cuidando”, continua.

E se alguém aparecer com a mesma cor da roupa da rainha? A stylist diz que isso não é um problema para a monarca. “Quando se trata da família real, não importa se eles usarem a mesma cor que a rainha porque são da monarquia. Outros convidados sentem que eles não podem usar o mesmo tom que ela, mas a rainha não se importaria se isso acontecesse.”
